Kendralin Freeman, the NCSC post-doctoral fellow for 2010-2011, is an associate professor in the Anthropology and Sociology Department at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY.  She studies issues of class and race-based inequality faced by children in the contemporary United States. She is currently involved in several projects investigating the educational consequences of economic, social, and institutional inequality across childhood at the individual and aggregate levels. Her research interests intersect with her teaching interests where she primarily teaches courses evaluating status hierarchies in the United States context, both internal and external to formal schooling.
